McAneny Leads Knights to First in Season Debut at YellowJacket Invitational

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo junior Sean McAneny finished 3rd with a time of 26:42.9 in his season debut to lead the Knights to a first place finish at the Yellowjacket invitational hosted by University of Rochester, on Saturday at Genesee Valley Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Junior Sean McAneny finished the 8k race in third with a time of 26:42.9.
  • Junior Justin Hoelzl was the Knights' second finisher, crossing in fifth with a time of 26:49.8.
  • Senior Sean Welch finished ninth (27:00.7), followed by junior Jack Tate(27:06.0) in 12th and sophomore Matthew Blauvelt (27:22.8) in 20th to close the Knights' top-five.
