Women's Cross Country Places 5th At NCAA Division III Championships

WINNECONNE, Wisc. – SUNY Geneseo junior Genny Corcoran finished 20th while senior Elise Ramirez finished 25th to garner All-America honors and lead the Knights to fifth place out of 32 teams at the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships, Saturday, at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wisc. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Corcoran covered the six-kilometer circuit with a time of 21:42.3, followed closely by Ramirez (21:45.8)
  • Senior Allison Fernandez finished 41st with a time of 22:02.2
  • Senior Dana Cebulski placed 152nd (22:55.2) before junior Taylor Rettig fnished 156th (22:57.1) to complete the Knights' top-five.
  • Sophomore Olivia Baumann ended up 165th (23:00.2) while junior Laura Barreca (23:10.0) placed 187th.

  • Geneseo extended Division III's longest streak of qualifying both its women's and men's programs to the NCAA Championships. The Knights' men finished 10th.
