ROCHESTER, N.Y. – SUNY Geneso junior Jack Tate finished first out of 233 runners to lead the Knights to second place out of 21 teams at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tate covered the eight-kilometer course with a winning time of 25:25.6 to best the field by nearly 37 seconds.
- First-year Cameron Davis and sophomore Bradley Farnham were the next Knights across the line in third (26:13.6) and fourth (26:17.4) places, respectively.
- Junior Kevin Seitz (26:42.1) and sophomore Matt Sayre (26:47.2) finished back-to-back in 18th and 19th, respectively, to close out the Geneseo scoring five.
- Host Roberts Wesleyan totaled a winning team score of 40 to edge runner-up Geneseo by one point.
Geneseo hosts the Mike Woods Invitational at the Letchworth State Park Highbanks Recreation Area next Saturday (Sept. 29) at 11:00 a.m.
