GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomore forward McKenna Brooks notched 10 points and seven rebounds to lead the No. 23 Knights to a 58-36 victory over Potsdam in State University of New York Athletic Conference action, Friday.
The victory gave Geneseo (16-0, 9-0 SUNYAC) their 16th-straight win to start the season, tying the 1992-93 team for the third-longest mark in program history.
The Knights turned a 19-14 first-quarter lead into a 35-19 halftime edge, by limiting the Bears (2-12, 1-8 SUNYAC) to only two field goals in the second quarter.
Geneseo held the visitors to one field goal in the first nine minutes of the third quarter to build a 27-point edge, 49-22, that proved insurmountable.
The Knights will host Plattsburgh on Saturday for a 4:00 p.m. tip-off.
