HILTON HEAD, S.C. - SUNY Geneseo junior Sam Montague and sophomore Dana Sorrentino were each double-winners as the Knights rolled to a 7-2 victory over Allegheny in their final spring break match in Hilton Head.
Montague and Sorrentino teamed together to earn an 8-1 win in third doubles while first-years Grace Klomp and Natalia Krol earned an 8-6 victory at second doubles to give the Knights a 2-1 lead heading into singles play.
In singles, Sorrentino and Montague each earned wins at sixth and fifth singles, respectively. Krol took second singles, earning a three-set victory, 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 while first-year Julianna Schulz won at the third flight and first-year Sophia Alkhouri Stuart took fourth singles.
The Knights will return to upstate New York before traveling to New Haven on Sunday, April 7.
