Women's Tennis Takes Down Brockport, 8-1

GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo juniors Catherine Gluchowski and Gretchen Ayoub earned an 8-1 third doubles victory as the Knights remained undefeated on the season with a win over State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) foe Brockport, 8-1. 

Gluchowski and Ayoub earned the Knights' first point of the day, while sophomores Grace Klomp and Julianna Schulz earned a second doubles win, 8-5. Senior Sam Montague and junior Dana Sorrentino teamed at the first flight for an 8-5 win as well. 

In singles play, Montague earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the second flight while sophomore Natalia Krol won her ninth-consecutive singles match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at third singles. Klomp, Sorrentino and Gluchowski added straight-set victories at fourth, fifth and sixth singles, respectively to round out the Knights' wins. 

Geneseo (4-0, 2-0 SUNYAC) hosts SUNYAC opponent Fredonia on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1:00 p.m.
