BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team earned the third seed and takes on second-seeded Oneonta in the semifinal round of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 4:00 p.m. at the Binghamton Tennis Complex.
Sophomore Natalia Krol leads the team with an 8-1 record in singles play, posting the Knights' best singles record at the third flight, while sophomore Sophia Alkhouri Stuart has gone 6-1 overall, including a 5-1 mark at sixth singles.
Sophomores Julianna Schulz and Grace Klomp are 4-0 at second doubles while Alkhouri Stuart and Krol are 3-0 at the third flight. Top doubles pair senior Sam Montague and junior Dana Sorrentino own a 6-3 mark at the first doubles flight.
Geneseo has dropped three-consecutive matches to Oneonta, including the 2018 SUNYAC Semifinal, which the Knights lost, 5-1. Geneseo fell to Oneonta, 7-2, on Sunday, Oct. 6, with Krol and Alkhouri Stuart earning points for the Knights at third and sixth singles, respectively.
