Women's Track & Field Wins Six Events At Season Opening Nazareth Alumni Meet

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior Jennifer Joseph placed first in the triple jump and contributed to the Knights' second-place 4x400 relay as Geneseo opened its season at the Nazareth Alumni Meet Friday night. 

Joseph placed first in the triple jump recording a mark of 10.98m and also joined first-year Jessica Nischo, sophomore Anna Flaitz and junior Kayla Barber to take second place in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:03.66. Flaitz finished first in the 300m with a time of 41.74, while junior Emily Pomainville placed second in the 3000 with a time of 10:47.45. Senior Jaclyn Barreca finished first in the mile with a time of 5:50.22. Junior Emily Lavarnway earned first in the 60 hurdles with a mark of 9.37 as well. Sophomore Emily Salvemini added a win in the long jump with a mark of 5.24m. 

Geneseo returns to action on January 18 when they compete at the RIT Invitational.
